Take the time to heal and focus on you
What does healing look like for you?
Welcome! My name is Lindsay . My journey began many years ago as a therapist (2003!), and has continued over the past twenty years.
My work over the past twenty years has included the majority of symptoms and problems. My specialities are in working with depression, anxiety, trauma, and neurodivergence (ADHD, autism).
I am aware that life can bring it’s share of challenges. They can come in many different forms. Whatever form yours is taking, I would encourage you to seek help. There is no shame in it. Our mental health is as important as our physical health. We need to slow down and take the time to work on ourselves so that we can embrace our relationships, our work, our school, and our goals.

Why work with me?
I am down-to-earth and have been doing this for a long time. Twenty years of counseling experience has helped me to form a unique perspective that is only possible through experience.
It can take a few times to really get comfortable with a new provider. I think that leaning into the uncomfortable can help.
About Me
Telehealth Services
Telehealth therapy allows you to have therapy in your own home. Relax in your favorite chair, grab a coffee or tea, light a candle- this hour is just for you.
It is recommended to have therapy in an area with minimal interruptions (if possible).

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get started?
Fill out the forms, email them to me, and I will contact you to schedule an appointment.
What is a first session like?
The first session is an intake question. It helps me understand what brings you to counseling, some important history about you from childhood to the present time, and what goals you would like to work toward. Feel free to ask me any questions too.
This is helpful in building a foundation for treatment. It is essential for our work together. We are working toward figuring out how to help you and what you want and need out of therapy.
How long does therapy take?
It varies from person to person, and problem to problem. Magic fixes are not the norm. Generally, it depends on how long you have had the problem, how difficult the problem is, how motivated you are to change, how many problems there are, and what it is we are working on. Progress is not always linear, and can be a journey of ups and downs. It is important to have realistic expectations. If you have had anxiety for 10 years, it is unlikely to go away in 3 sessions.
How does therapy with kids work?
Parents play a major role during the intake for kids and young teens. It is important for me to hear your view of what is going on in order to be able to figure out how to help your child. Your child will also have their turn to explain to me what is going on.
Often, I use play, art, and therapeutic activities to help children and pre-teens. Play is the way that kids communicate, and using this in therapy can really help.
My goals for children are to help them express and communicate feeling in more comfortable ways, teach them new skills, and understand how to manage their symptoms or challenges. I also like to involve parents especially with younger kids and pre-teens to be able to learn to support their mental health at home.
Parents are the most important people involved in their child’s life, and can really benefit the child when they learn new skills.
